Travelling to World Cultural Festival
Ready to travel to Delhi for the World Cultural
Festival? Finally the day to go on the trip has arrived and you must be excited
about the trip. There might be exciting plans for the trip. But there is a more
exciting thing you do before the trip- packing.
Some people find packing as exciting as the trip is for them. Here are some
tips on packing and things to be checked before heading for a journey.
Roll Over
Folding of the clothes and putting them in bags
requires a great skill of Space
Management. Only few can have expertise on them. Don’t worry if you are not
one. Instead of conventional way of folding clothes, try rolling them instead.
Yeah! Once you do it you will know that not only it saves the folding time but also it prevents
wrinkles on your well ironed shirts. Not to mention. Rolled clothes take less
space and are easier to put in bag!
Light weight
Prefer light weight clothes. If possible carry
light-weight bags too; it shall reduce extra luggage you need to carry. If you
are on a short trip, prefer backpack and use wheeled-suitcase when your stuff
is huge enough to not fit in a back pack. Wheeled suitcases are way easier; you
just have roll it on! Prefer clothes that can be used for multipurpose.
Must Have’s
Do not forget to include the daily used items in
your pack. Toothbrush, a towel, water bottle, hand sanitizer, cap are a few. I
guess the list would be longer in case of females! (no offense). You must have
a medical kit or at least a handiplast with you. Check the regular medicine, if
any. Include a photocopy of all the required documents like citizenship,
passport, passes, tickets, map and mailing address of event and residence
Avoid In Case
Pack in stuffs that are A Must. People won’t criticize you if you are wearing the same pair
of pants for an extra day (unless it is not too dirty). Avoid all the In Case materials you have stuffed. This
will reduce your luggage size.
The Gadgets!
These days smart phones or at least a gadget have
become an integral part of one’s life. But you know ‘smart phones, dumb batteries.’ So be careful not to forget the
chargers, power banks and all other stuffs that gadgets need to function well.
If possible, you might carry an extra battery as well! a multi-plug would be
boon to you and people around you.
Research!
A bit of information about the place you are about
to visit shall always be beneficial to you. Be aware about the temperature and
climate, the people and culture there. You might want to have knowledge about
the route and map there. Also, research about the happening places of the town,
its specialties and what else has it got so that you might not miss anything.
Google out and see if there are any places worth to visit at the outskirts.
Eateries
Be very careful about your diet. You may carry your
own food for one-way, until you reach your destination. Once you are there, you
might need be think twice before you end up eating anything. You might check it
out what not to eat with the locals around!
Time Scheduling
Pre-determine the schedule of your tour length. It
is better if you are on a scheduled holiday plan. You might add an extra day on
your trip though, but you would not want yourself wandering in a strange, new
place!
Transaction
While you are traveling it is safer if you carry
only few cash in hand. Check what services your bank provides and whether its
ATM/Visa card is accepted elsewhere or not. The cash needed can be swiped out
at any ATM centers!
The moments on the tour are memorable and capturing
them would be great. Having photos and selfies is fun! Shooting short length
videos and watching them later takes you back to the vacation!
